A series of Israeli air strikes has killed at least 200 people across the Gaza Strip, including many children. It's the biggest assault since since the 19th of January, when a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel came into effect. Israel appears to have unilaterally ended that agreement. The Israeli military says its been instructed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to take strong action in Gaza. Hamas has made a statement calling on the UN Security Council to intervene and force an end to Israeli attacks.
