‘I have never seen anything close to what I have seen in Gaza’: UN humanitarian official - Al Jazeera English - Cyril Vanier Cyril Vanier

The UN Humanitarian Coordinator for the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Mohannad Hadi, spoke to Al Jazeera about Gaza’s humanitarian crisis, calling it "two million sad stories." He stressed the urgent need for a permanent ceasefire, warning, "We have the formula, the recipe of a disaster here." Hadi highlighted the extreme suffering of women and children, stating, "Women talk about bathrooms, having access to toilets... going to the bathroom is an agony." He expressed deep concern over the potential resumption of Israeli military activities, saying, "I can't imagine how a resumption of military activities could be or what it means for the people." “I don’t even want to imagine the scenario where the ceasefire talks in Doha fail. As a humanitarian, I can’t just imagine that we will be faced with this situation.” Hadi added.
