The head of the Palestinian Mission to the United Kingdom has urged the world to act after Donald Trump said the US would "own" Gaza. Ambassador Husam Zomlot told Sky News the US president was seeking to normalise "people being literally erased" - but he would not be able to force Palestinians from their homes. Speaking at a news conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump told reporters Palestinians could be resettled in neighbouring Egypt and Jordan - something both countries have rejected - and the US could "own" Gaza and "develop it, create thousands and thousands of jobs".
