US President-elect Donald Trump shared a video on his social media platform Truth Social, criticising Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in not-so-pleasant language. The clip shows economist Jeffrey Sachs calling the Israeli leader a "Deep, dark SOB". Sachs also accuses Netanyahu of manipulating US foreign policy to wage endless wars in the Middle East. The clip is a snippet of an interview with Sachs where he talked about Netanyahu’s strategy for eliminating Hamas and Hezbollah. Sachs claimed that the Israeli prime minister has been following a systematic plan since 1995 to eliminate Hezbollah and Hamas by toppling their supporting governments in Iran, Iraq and Syria. The Columbia University professor added that Netanyahu has been trying to get the United States to go to war against Iran.
