A ceasefire agreement involving a release of hostages has been reached after more than a year of deadly fighting in Gaza. If confirmed, the agreement would include a pause in fighting as well as the release of a number of hostages and Palestinian detainees. It would be a huge breakthrough in the war in Gaza that has left tens of thousands of people dead and many more injured and displaced from their homes.
