A new report by a UN Special Committee has found Israel's warfare methods to be “consistent with the characteristics of genocide”, including the use of starvation as a weapon of war.
It accuses Israel of creating a “lethal mix of crises” that will inflict severe harm on generations to come.

Rami Khouri, a distinguished fellow at the American University of Beirut, said that while the report was unlikely to push the international community “to do anything practical or even just symbolic”, its findings will boost legal actions against Israel going forward.
