“What you are seeing on social media is only a small part of what is now happening in northern Gaza.” Al Jazeera journalist Anas Jamal describes the situation in northern Gaza’s Beit Lahia as “an extermination operation” carried out by the Israeli military. Jamal states that more than 150,000 displaced Palestinians reside in the Beit Lahia area and are now being subject to “extermination” and new displacement plans. Bodies have been left in the streets due to continuous Israeli shelling and gunfire, and the hospitals have been put out of service. There are reportedly hundreds of wounded individuals in the hospital emergency area who are unable to be saved. It is also reported that drones are now instructing the displaced Palestinians to leave, and whoever goes south will be targeted and shot at.
